This will make your iPod longer and slighty thicker, and it gives the iPod kind of a "bricky" feel. But when you need long battery life (up to 55 hours?!), I doubt you will care. The skin fits really well and will protect your player very nicely too. Overall, this is an outstanding product.

I used this for a 5 hour flight and my iPod was still fully charged when I reached my destination. Well worth the cost and the added size to your iPod.

I used this on a long flight to Hong Kong when the video system was out on the airline. Rather than looking at a map of my plane barely moving over the Pacific Ocean for 13 hours, I watched video podcasts, listened to audio podcasts and music, and pretty much giggled my way through the flight. The battery adds quite a bit of weight to the iPod but that isn't unexpected. The neoprene sleeve is a little difficult to remove, but not enough to take away a star.
