Out of the package and into my computer, instantly started charging the battery for my Inspiron 1420. I have not been able to run my laptop without a power chord for over a year. I tried to solve this problem previously by purchasing a replacement battery, but it still wouldn't charge. The Anker Notebook Adapter was the solution! Additional details:

this smells great without being overpowering, gently exfoliates, and really, really leaves you moisturized. I love using it after I shave (which you can't do with a salt scrub!) to make my sensitive legs feel better and keep them from feeling dry (if I don't moisturize after shaving my legs sometimes "heat up" and really get painful). Water beads right off of me when I'm done, and I smell distinctly feminine without feeling like a walking fruit basket (ie, like I just visited Bath and Body Works).

I can't believe the price--it's HALF of what I would pay at a drugstore. I've tried some other products from this line, and they aren't as good as this. This I would buy forever. So soft, so good smelling!

I ordered the alba body polish, sugar cane, and when it arrived both containers were damaged. Some of the product leaked out and both lids were broken. This meant that both containers were useless in storing the product; thus, causing me to find new containers.

I have had three baby monitors, and this one was by far the BEST. Maybe I just got lucky, given all the negative reviews, but ours was fantastic, great range, no static, and I LOVE the charging base (I hate the ones that only have rechargeable batteries. No parent with an infant has time to deal with rechargeable batteries, or the frustration of when batteries get low -- give me a plug so it works all the time). This one you can plug in and prop it on the charging dock or carry it around. It is all convenience and no hassle. I lost my original Summer 2.4Ghz monitor and have been meaning to get another one, but couldn't find this one again for a long time. I'm so glad to find it again.

We've lived without a baby monitor for a couple of years, but once we moved and our bedroom was no longer right next to the baby's, we felt it was a good idea to get a monitor. My only stipulation was that it had to be a digital monitor to protect our privacy.

The way-too-bright blue LED lights and lack of audio squelching (to suppress small movements from being amplified) is something we can deal with. Our problem is the range. It's not even 80ft between rooms, on the same floor, and even with doors open and near line-of-sight, there are frequent dropouts in reception. Because of the digital transmission, there's no static, but the constant hiss of amplified background noise abruptly stops with a hiccup, and then a second later, it comes back. It's not enough to wake you up, but it is enough to annoy you if you're falling asleep - especially since it happens over, and over, and over...

Maybe the reception problems are from the wifi network we have setup here, which also operates at 2.4GHz. But at this point, where can you go where there aren't wifi access points, cordless phones, etc. setup? I don't understand why it's so complicated to build an excellent, digital baby monitor. It's no different than a one-way cordless phone, and my cordless phones have been rock-solid for 8+ years now.

Graco has a competing product I might try, but reviews on that unit seem mixed, and many are equally unenthusiastic.

Yep, it's advertised to have a range of 600 feet. Our youngest child's room and our bedroom are on opposite sides of the house, he's upstairs and we're downstairs, so _maybe_ we're 70 feet apart, at most. This thing was ENTIRELY useless at that range. To get a good clear signal, the receiver has to be about 20 feet from the transmitter, which is utterly worthless.

We had our trusty Sony NTM-900 which worked great, but it was years old and finally died. Sony stopped making it, though one can still find it around here and there, I cannot find anywhere (including eBay) which has a two-receiver unit. This was rated in third by CR (tied with the Graco), and I have no idea how CR gave this such a high rating--it's COMPLETELY useless. The other review her was much too kind.

The Pocket Tote/Cooler Bag arriver a few days after I ordered it. Very Prompt! It was NIB as stated. I am using the Tote/Cooler Bag as a console on the bench seat of my pickup truck. Fits perfect and holds alot more than my old console.The smaller compartment of the cooler bag holds the larger bottles and insulates them far better than the standard cup holders.The bag has lots of pockets but they too small inside.If they were to place the same larger pockets that they have on the long exterior side on both sides it would be more driver friendly. I wanted another bag for lunch with a long strap--I ride a motorcycle to work and work in construction. This seemed like a pretty ideal product, at least looking at the pictures. The separate cooler pouch seemed like a good idea, and most of the contents of my usual lunch box do not need to be kept cool, and would probably squish most lunch items.

It turns out that the bag is a little too bulky to comfortably carry with the strap slung around one's neck. And the pockets are pretty great, but there ought to be a fairly large interior pocket to put little reference books and papers in. Partly to separate them from potential coffee thermos leaks. I have stuffed tools in the main compartment, but the shoulder strap despite the brass-y hardware does not look like it can hold a whole lot of hardware. The hand straps on either side are sturdily attached, and generally a durable product.

These shoes are absolutely perfect for my little one's fat little feet - no problems getting them on (unlike roughly half the shoes we have), and the leather is super soft, so no complaints, either! Soles are sturdy but flexible, which she loves. They are really cute and seem to be holding up remarkably well to everyday use, even playing in the driveway - so much better a deal than shoes for 2/3 the price that look awful within a week. We have the soft pink, but as fast as their feet grow, I will be buying more sizes and colors while Amazon has them!

I bought these shoes in white and they are adorable just as pictured. Love the subtle colors and designs and the leather is soft and supple. I was totally impressed by the quality and design of the shoes. HOWEVER, they were too narrow! My daughter is a skinny baby and definitely does not have wide feet. She typically wears size 4 in Gap and Stride Rite so I thought by ordering size 4-4.5 in Umi should fit fine, but they were too narrow in the front. I don't think my daughter can put her feet in if she wears socks. Sadly, I'll have to return these adorable shoes.

These knives are great. I decided on getting new knives after ours starting looking trashy (they were wood handle ones that were starting to split). After spending days (literally) researching and reading reviews I decided on this set. I wasn't about to spend over $100.00 and up for a knife set...I don't really care that much. But this is a $100.00 set for a great price. These are worth it. They are heavy, fit great in your hand, and sharp right out of the box. The only problem was one of the knives had a "ding" on the top of the blade, but this doesn't affect the cutting and wasn't that noticable to ship back. My husband really like them too. Anyways, this knife set is well worth the price and I think one of my best purchases on Amazon.

These are a great set for a starter/college student. They were ranked by Consumer Reports as the best buy for knife sets, and with good reason.

I was looking for a cheap set for my parents, to add to their collection of Wusthof Classics and Sabatiers, just for everyday use, soa s not to wear out their more expensive knives. Sure, these might not have the great German steel, but they also don't cost 10x as much, and with my handy electric knife sharpener, that's not really much of a problem.

You sure get a lot of bang for your buck here; the wood block is nice, no cracks. The knives are a great deal- bolster, full tang, and forged steel, not stamped like in many cheaper blocks. The polypropylene handles felt a little rough, but overall weight balance felt good.

Great deal! Highly recommended.

I bought these hoping to get a good deal on a starter set. The knives arrived in good conditon. Yes they can rust but that is expected non stainless knives. While they are sharpenable, they do not hold an edge for long and i find myself having to resharpen (not just re-hone) with a stone on a fairly regular basis. If your looking for knife to hold a sharp edge, then look for a different make.

Some of the cheaper Henckles international (non serrated) are good for cheap, as well as the chichago cutlery sets. Spend a few extra dollars, youll have these or whatever knives you buy for a while, its worth it.

After spending a great deal of time reading reviews on woks I decided on the Helen Chen's Asian Kitchen Excalibur Nonstick 14-Inch Lidded Wok. It seemed the best for a very reasonable price and it received glowing reviews on Amazon.

Boy was I wrong.

Out of the box it looked good, seemed sturdy and had good weight. The non-stick surface worked excellent. Nothing sticks at all. However, on the first use the coating pealed away from the outside bottom. Most likely because even under moderate heat the pan warps into an outward bubbled bottom. This bulging bottom causes it to wobble to-and-fro and makes it impossible to transfer heat. The heat distribution is so poor that there is only a small portion of the pan bottom that gives you that sizzle you expect from a wok. The sides remain so cool that the pan is easily picked up from the rim while in use.

I used it once and retired it to the storage area destined for a garage sale. Don't waste your money on this one.

This wok was exactly what I was looking for: large but manageable, and has a great lid! As a recent post-graduate living without a girlfriend nearby, I have been surviving mostly off of stir fry, so I use this almost every single night in one way or another. It is a bit heavy, but it doesn't bother me too much. I could see if my girlfriend tried to use it when she was here, it could be a bit of an issue to flip the food with a single hand. Fortunately, I do most of the cooking by myself! Thanks to the non-stick surface over the entire wok, it's very easy to clean.

I am not sure if it's because of the surface area of the bottom of the wok or the inconsistency of my electric stove (probably both), but the wok seems to heat up extremely easily and then retains that heat for longer than I would expect. I try to remember to never bring the heat up past where I want it to be, but with my other pans I will use heat them up on a higher heat then bring it down...and I can't do that with this pan, so I forget sometimes.

Other than that minor complaint, it's great for stir fry of all kind! I do have to say be aware if your arms are out of shape, you may have some problems handling this without two hands though, and be careful with electric stove tops.

I got this bed for my 3 year old boy hoping he would start sleeping in his own room and give Mommy and Daddy some space:)First of all it arrived on time...took about 10 days. Some pieces were a little scratched and the veneer was coming off. But after installation it looks really good. It took me about 3 hours to put it together and I didn't rush at all. Overall good quality for the price.For the color it is almost black and that's what I wanted. Hope it holds up to his teen years.

This product is indispensable for your butcher block countertop if you want it to look good and stay "healthy".
Lasts longer if you sand your countertops before applying it but I find that quite unpractical. So I just apply it directly without sanding and use more frequent applications. Penetrates deeper into the wood if you warm it up by dipping the bottle in a deep container filled with hot water (not boiling hot, otherwise you will melt the bottle). Let it sit for a few minutes then apply. I use a lot of oil, letting it penetrate into the wood for a few minutes, then remove any excess with a paper towel.

The only thing wrong with this is the suggestion that wood oils are a mystery. Wood and bamboo oils are simply food grade mineral oils. You should use a wood oil in your kitchen instead of vegetable oil because mineral oil does not break down or become rancid. Wood oil gives sheen and water and stain resistance to wood items such as butcher block, cutting boards, pizza peels and wooden salad bowls. You can use wood oil to darken and restore the appearance of faded wooden knife handles or dried out wood cutting boards. Wood oil is a must have for any kitchen with wood items. Snow River Wood Oil is available at a lower price when you consider that it is available as a 4 for three item and with free super saver shipping.

I actually use mineral oil laxative on my wood kitchen items ($2 for 16 oz. at many drug stores) which is the same thing. Clearly the laxative bottle is less than aesthetically pleasing and is embarassing to leave around the kitchen. My wife keeps hiding the bottle in fact. But No it won't have a laxative effect if you use it on your cutting boards or knife handles.
